Christmas trees and other greens can be recycled for FREE during your regular collection day (Wednesdays) now through January 9th. Trees should be cut into 6 foot or smaller sections and limbs trimmed to 4 feet or shorter. You can also take them to the transfer station for free chipping also. See this notice for more detail.
Also, if you have Christmas lights that no longer work and you want to get rid of them, you can recycle those too for free. Several local businesses and hardware stores are collecting them through mid-January.
