Did you know April is Earthquake Preparedness month? Well, now you do. Did you also know that most houses built before 1980, which is most of NE Seattle, weren’t bolted to their foundation? This creates problems, as you can imagine, during an earthquake.
The Seattle Neighborhood’s Actively Prepare (SNAP) program through the Office of Emergency Management is hosting a free earthquake home retrofit class on Saturday, April 7th at the NE Seattle Branch Library from 11AM – 1PM. Haven taken this class before, I can attest that it is exceptionally useful and very informative.
While the class is free, pre-registration is required. Simply call (206-233-5076) or email » to register.
