The annual Candy Cane Lane lighted holiday display begins at dusk on Saturday, December 8, and continues through New Years Day. The homeowners on NE Park Road invite everyone to enjoy their informal festival of lights, and you are encouraged to come early in the month because the weekend of December 22-23 will be the busiest, most crowded time. Canned foods for Northwest Harvest will be collected and you are encouraged to contribute.
To get to Candy Cane Lane, travel south on 25th Ave NE to NE 55th Street (Kidd Valley hamburgers is on your left.) Turn right at NE 55th Street, then right again onto Ravenna Ave NE, keeping Ravenna Park always on your right. Then take the second right into Candy Cane Lane (NE Park Road) to travel in a clockwise direction through the display.
Consider leaving your car and walking through the display on Candy Cane Lane – then you can see more and not worry about traffic. You can go over to Boulevard Grocery, 2007 NE Ravenna Blvd, for hot cocoa, and thank them for their participation in this year’s food drive for Northwest Harvest.
