On Thursday, December 27 from 10 AM to 3 PM the Cedar River Watershed Education Center will have Wondering About Wildlife: a Free Family Fun Day. The Cedar River Watershed is about 35 miles from Seattle, east of North Bend on I-90, and is the source of Seattle’s municipal water supply. At the Education Center on Thursday there will be both indoor and outdoor activities for families to learn about the source of our drinking water and about the forests and wildlife of the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
Indoor activities at the Wondering About Wildlife program will include crafts, games and exhibits. Owl pellets will be examined to see what the owl had for breakfast! Outdoor activities for the day will include nature walks. Free snacks and drinks will be provided but it is advised that you bring a lunch, as food concessions are not available. Dress for the weather, as well, and see the website for directions to the Cedar River Watershed Education Center.
