On Tuesday evening, April 2nd, from 7 to 9 PM there will be a very important community meeting to discuss what can be done to prevent further traffic tragedies such as the one that occurred in Wedgwood on March 25th. The meeting will be held at the Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, located on Ravenna Ave NE just north of NE 65th Street. Plan ahead to walk to the meeting or park at a distance as very little parking space is available at the meeting site.
In attendance at the meeting will be representatives of Seattle’s traffic department (SDOT), the Seattle Police Department, City Council, the City Attorney’s Office, and other representatives including Harborview Hospital. Gina Iandola, branch manager of Wedgwood’s Homestreet Bank will be present to accept donations for the Schulte family. Come out to the meeting to show your support and help create safer streets.
