The Seattle Festival Orchestra will perform their final concert of the season on Sunday, June 2. The concert will be in Founder’s Hall, University Prep, at 25th Ave NE & NE 80th Street. From 25th Ave NE, turn at the traffic light at NE 80th Street, east into the driveway of University Prep. The concert will begin at 3 PM (doors open at 2:30 PM) and the suggested donation is $20 per person.
Seattle Festival Orchestra is a multi-generational community orchestra founded upon the enjoyment of playing instruments and creating music together. The Sunday, June 2 concert program will be Shostakovich Symphony No 5, and Brahms Double Concerto for violin and cello. The Brahms Concerto will feature the orchestra’s popular duo, the Pink Stringers. Past-performance clips are on the Seattle Festival Orchestra webpage. The Pink Stringers are Annie Pham, violinist, and Olivia Marckx, cellist. Olivia is the recent winner of the Classical King FM Radio Young Artist Awards competition in her age category.
