On June 5, 12 and 13, in three different locations, there will be Open House updates on the draft of Seattle’s Bicycle Master Plan. There will also be an on-line Lunch-and-Learn, Thursday, June 6 from noon to 1 PM; use the link to register in advance for this Webinar.
At the Open House events you will get an overview of the updated Draft Bicycle Master Plan and see a citywide map of proposed bike facilities, including Greenways, cycle tracks and more. Since its adoption in 2007 the Bicycle Master Plan has served as the blueprint for making improvements to Seattle’s bicycle network. The focus at this time is on expanding bicycle facilities on the City’s street network and for completing links on urban trails, including the Burke-Gilman.
Also upcoming are Bicycle Sundays on June 2, 16, and 30, with more dates in July, August and September. You can bike or walk along Lake Washington Boulevard south of Mount Baker Beach to the entrance of Seward Park while Lake Washington Boulevard is closed to motorized traffic from 10 to 6 for the Bicycle Sundays.
