Autumn is the best season for putting in new plants and trees, and the Northwest Horticultural Society will have its Plant Sale on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21. Take a look at the huge list of vendors and come during the sale hours of noon to 6 PM on Friday, and 9 to 2 on Saturday. The sale will be at North Seattle Community College, 9600 College Way N. Look for the sidewalk sandwich boards which will direct you to the Plant Sale in the Arts & Sciences Garage.
Proceeds from the Plant Sale go toward the Northwest Horticultural Society’s funding of education programs. The NHS is a major supporter of the Elisabeth C. Miller Library at the Center for Urban Horticulture, Seattle. NHS grants scholarships to students in horticulture at the University of Washington and supports projects that benefit horticulture in the Pacific Northwest.
