Some Wedgwood businesses will be closed over the Thanksgiving weekend. Twirl Dancewear at 8511 35th Ave NE will be closed for the weekend and on Monday, December 2, Twirl will begin seasonal specials. Look for Twirl’s selection of Christmas ornaments and stocking-stuffers which make great gifts.
Hunter Tree Farm opened before Thanksgiving this year. They will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, then will re-open on Friday, November 29, for you to select your Christmas tree and decorations such as wreaths and swags.
The Wedgwood Broiler will open at 8 AM on Friday, November 29, for breakfast. TVs will be on for the Apple Cup football game.
Woodlawn Optical at 8032 35th Ave NE will be closed on Thanksgiving weekend. On Monday, December 2, Woodlawn Optical will begin their annual charity drive, Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is coordinated by members of the US Marine Corps Reserves. Bring in a new, unwrapped toy which will be distributed to needy families.
For those who will need a change of scene from the festivities on Thanksgiving Day, the Wedgwood Ale House at 8515 35th Ave NE will open at 7 PM that evening! The Ale House will be open regular hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
