The annual Candy Cane Lane holiday display begins at dusk on Saturday, December 7 and continues nightly from 4 to 10 PM through New Years Day. Candy Cane Lane is a group of brick-Tudor houses built in 1929 whose castle-like style lends itself to transformation into a winter village of lights. The homeowners on NE Park Road invite everyone to enjoy their festival of holiday cheer, and you are also encouraged to bring a canned food donation for the food bank barrels.
To get to Candy Cane Lane, travel south on 25th Ave NE to NE 55th Street (Kidd Valley hamburgers is on your left.) Turn right at NE 55th Street, then right again onto Ravenna Ave NE, keeping Ravenna Park always on your right. Then take the second right into Candy Cane Lane (NE Park Road) to travel in a clockwise direction through the display.
Consider leaving your car and walking through the display on Candy Cane Lane – then you can take your time and not worry about traffic. Stop by Boulevard Grocery, 2007 NE Ravenna Blvd, for hot cocoa.
