During the holiday season, take a trip to downtown Seattle to enjoy the lights and decorations, and don’t forget to go and see this year’s Gingerbread Village. Located in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel on Sixth Avenue between Union and Pike Streets, the display is open 24-hours-per-day through January 5, 2014.
Each year the Gingerbread Village is created by Seattle’s top architectural firms and the culinary team of the Sheraton Hotel, as a fundraiser for juvenile diabetes. The event is free and donations are accepted on-site or through electronic access.
This year’s Gingerbread Village theme is “There’s a Rhyme and a Reason This Holiday Season.” Each fantastic gingerbread creation depicts a nursery rhyme; test your nursery-rhyme knowledge and vote for your favorite!
