City Librarian Marcellus Turner is hosting a series of community conversations throughout the city to provide an update on the implementation of the Library levy and to hear from the community about how the Library can better serve our city’s neighborhoods. At the Northeast Branch, we will also be celebrating the new improvements to the children’s area. The Northeast Community Conversation is scheduled for:

11 am – 12:45 pm
The celebration will begin with the City Librarian, Marcellus Turner, leading a story time for children from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. in the newly renovated children’s area. After story time, patrons are invited to move into the meeting room for a Community Conversation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The City Librarian will give an update on the implementation of the Library levy, approved by Seattle voters in August 2012, and talk with patrons about his service priorities. Light refreshments will be provided.
