Participants in Seattle’s Trees for Neighborhoods program can receive up to four trees per household, contributing to the beauty of Wedgwood and benefiting the environment. The trees are to be picked up and planted in autumn, and training in proper planting and care is offered.
Check out this year’s list of available trees and the planting considerations page. You may have room to plant a tree in your yard, or a street tree on the curbside planting strip. To plant a street tree, a free permit is required from SDOT and the Trees for Neighborhoods program will apply for this permit on your behalf.
Application for street trees is open only until Wednesday, August 27. Application for yard trees is open until October 10.
