Holidays and Helping: Fundraiser for the Lake City Community Center

The Lake City Community Center at 12531 28th Ave NE is located next door to the Lake City Branch Library in a busy commercial and residential area, a designated Urban Village of Seattle.  The community center building is worn out and badly in need of replacement.  An initiative is underway via the City of Seattle budget process to eventually get a new building.  In the meantime, you can help support the programs by attending a fun holiday theater performance.

On Sunday evening, December 14, Taproot Theatre’s Improv Team will present It’s a Wonderful, Improvised, Life! It’s a Wonderful Life is a movie classic enjoyed by everyone at the holiday season, but have you ever wanted to re-write the plot?  Would you like George Bailey to handle things a little differently, or would you like to see Mr. Potter get his just desserts?  During the performance by the Taproot Improv Team, they will solicit suggested plot turnings from the audience.

The event is a fundraiser for a stage and stage lights for performing arts at Lake City Community Center.  Tickets are available at the center or at Brown Paper Tickets.
