Transportation Topics at the Meadowbrook Community Council Meeting

Transportation will be the topic at the Meadowbrook Community Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 7 PM. Scott Kubly, Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will make a presentation on the Mayor’s MoveSeattle Levy to be placed on the ballot in November 2015.  The proposal is in draft stage and SDOT is seeking citizen input before the final version.  You are invited to read the proposal and bring your thoughts on what needs fixing in Seattle’s streets.

The second speaker at the Meadowbrook meeting will be Art Brochet, SDOT’s Project Communications representative.  He will give updates on the Northgate Pedestrian and Bicycle Project.

At the meeting other updates will be given on projects such as the sidewalks to be built along NE 110th Street and intersection improvements at NE 105th Street.  The Meadowbrook community, Wedgwood’s neighbor to the north of NE 95th Street, is engaged in many improvement initiatives including streets and sidewalks, participation in Greenways and Community Gardens.

Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave NE, at 7 PM in the room immediately to the left of the front entrance.
