Hands On Skills Fair 2016

What is a Skills Fair?  Organized by Sustainable NE Seattle, the 2016 Skills Fair is a day of sharing practical skills with our neighbors.  This year’s Hands On Skills Fair will be on Saturday, February 6th, 10 AM to 5 PM at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave NE.  The program will include a luncheon and a speaker.

The Skills Fair will feature short workshops on a wide variety of skills.  Check the scheduled workshops ahead of time for costs, materials needed and for updates as more workshops are added.

This year there are some new offerings: some digital technology, as well a class on electric bike conversions. You can also bring clothes you no longer wear to exchange for some “new” to you, and get help fixing a tool or gadget, and bike. Exchange kefir and kombucha scobies. Learn to knit, spin yarn, weave baskets, cultivate mushrooms, prepare healthy foods, and much more…

When? Saturday, February 6, 2016.  Skills from 10 AM to 5 PM, plus lunch.
