It’s Spring Clean season!  The Wedgwood Community Council invites all volunteers to join the work parties at either of two sites to be spruced up on Saturday.  Weeding and tidying will be done at the corner of NE 86th Street for Wedgwood’s Picnic Place.  The site is our future park, awaiting the development process to become a pocket park.  In the meantime, the community council accessed Department of Neighborhoods funding to create the Picnic Place in June 2015.

A second work site for this Saturday, April 23rd, also beginning at 9 AM, will be at the western edge of Wedgwood where NE 85th Street extends between 20th Ave NE and Ravenna Way NE.  A neighbors group has organized as Reimagining NE 85th Street to do clean-up and to address traffic and street improvement needs.  On Saturday work will continue along NE 85th Street nearest to Ravenna Ave NE to cut back overgrown shrubbery.

Meet the community council volunteers on Saturday between 9 to noon, and while raking, sweeping and trimming, you can hear about all the projects that are going on in Wedgwood!
