Our thanks to the Wedgwood Garden Club for their support of Wedgwood’s future park at the corner of NE 86th Street.
Saturday, April 30th was a sunny and successful day for the Wedgwood Garden Club Plant Sale, a fundraiser for Wedgwood’s Future Park. Presently designated as the Picnic Place, the corner of NE 86th street has been outfitted with tables while we “wait in line” for the park development process of the City of Seattle.
For this year’s Plant Sale the Wedgwood Garden Club once again had a terrific array of plants which club members had raised in their own gardens and brought to be sold at the club’s fundraiser. Thank you, Wedgwood Gardeners!
While we wait for park development, the Wedgwood Community Council maintains the Picnic Place and is seeking more event-use for 2016, including food trucks. Everyone is invited to come out to the Picnic Place on Tuesday evening, May 3 at 7:15 PM for a food truck brainstorming session with the Wedgwood Community Council officers and volunteers.
