The Food Truck Brainstorming Session was led by Tony Frego, Wedgwood Community Council president, to invite all interested persons to contribute ideas and expertise.  The date of Saturday, September 17, was chosen for a community evening of food trucks to be held at The Gathering Place at Hunter Tree Farm, 7744 35th Ave NE next to the Wedgwood Post Office.

The group divided up tasks such as contacting local businesses to participate on September 17, finding the best publicity resources, and rounding up available food trucks.

The next meeting of the Food Truck work group will be on Wednesday, May 18th.  Contact Tony for time and place info.

At the same time as planning for the September 17 event, the committee will seek contacts with food trucks who would be available to come as early as possible at the Picnic Place, Wedgwood’s future park at the corner of NE 86th Street.  The truck which was at the site last year is no longer in operation.

If you have contacts or suggestions for the Picnic Place to get a food truck, or if you would like to help with the September 17 event, contact Tony at president@wedgwoodcc.org
