Wedgwood Community Council Updates: Summer 2016

The Wedgwood Community Council has chosen to present a new event this year, a Community Picnic on Saturday, September 17th, rather than the Outdoor Cinema which has been held in past summers.

The Wedgwood Community Council officers and volunteers met on Monday, July 18th to discuss neighborhood issues and plan for upcoming events.  There was a very full meeting agenda beginning with planning for a Community Picnic on Saturday, September 17th.  The event will be held at The Gathering Place at Hunter Tree Farm, 7744 35th Ave NE (next to the post office.)  Inquiries are being made to get food trucks or other vendors.  A subcommittee has formed to coordinate the event and if you would like to participate, contact us at info@wedgwoodcc.org

Other items on the agenda at this month’s Community Council meeting were ongoing neighborhood concerns such as Greenway and street improvements; land use applications; and the long timeline for development of Wedgwood’s pocket park at the corner of NE 86th Street.
