On Monday, October 3rd, a fire at 9516 35th Ave NE caused enough damage for the landlord to give up on the building with likely tear-down.  The barber shop, built in 1939, is the last original structure remaining from what was once a business district at the NE 95th Street intersection in the 1920s and 1930s.

Nathan the barber is now at Laurelhurst Barber Shop, 3613 NE 45th Street.  Located on the south side of NE 45th next door to Varlamos Pizzeria, Nathan wants everyone to know that he has twenty-two off-street parking spaces.  Give Nathan a call at 206-729-3737 or stop by for a haircut.  You need a haircut, right?

    1. According to Nathan the barber, the landlord does not plan to repair the building. Permits to build something new will be posted on the City of Seattle’s construction page.
