Vision Zero Yard Signs Still Available

You can get free “slow down” signs to put in your yard, on the parking strip or in a traffic circle to remind drivers to SLOW DOWN on residential streets.

The Vision Zero program of Seattle Department of Transportation has four different signs which you can obtain for free by going to one of the City’s Customer Service Centers.  In north Seattle there is a Customer Service Center on the second floor of the Lake City Branch Library, and one in the University District at 4534 University Way NE.

It is best to call before you go to make sure that the Customer Service Center has the signs in stock.  Today when I phoned, the Lake City office was out of one kind of sign but had three others; call them at 684-7526.  The University Customer Service Center was completely out of yard signs today but said they would order more; call them at 684-7542.
