A fire was called in at 1:18 AM on the morning of January 24, 2017, at the Greenside Marijuana store at 9800 Lake City Way NE. The building was fully engulfed in flames when firemen arrived.
According to KIRO 7 news staff who interviewed the store owner at the site, the cause of the fire appeared to be electrical and the building is a complete loss. The adjacent liquor store building was not affected.
The fire emergency was cleared by 5 AM so that there was no obstruction to rush-hour traffic on Lake City Way NE.
