Seattle Mayoral Candidates Jenny Durkan and Cary Moon will appear at a special forum cohosted by the Northeast Seattle Communities of Hawthorne Hills, Laurelhurst, Windermere, Windermere North, Wedgwood, Ravenna-Bryant and View Ridge. The forum is scheduled for Thursday, October 26th, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom (6800 35th Avenue NE).
In order to focus the discussion on matters concerning our various neighborhoods, and because the candidates’ time is limited, please prepare your questions, statements of concern or even just gripes that you can either email to windermere.north.comm.assoc@gmail.com or hand deliver at the door when you arrive.
Ballots have been distributed and the election is days away. This is one of the last opportunities NE Seattle voters will have to meet the next Mayor of Seattle and to put NE Seattle issues, questions and concerns on the table.
This event may be heavily attended. Good citizens, concerned citizens, students, the curious, the hopeful, the discouraged, the burned-out and the cynical couch grouch are encouraged to arrive early.
Will this debate also be available for viewing electronically sometime after today? If so, how can we access it?
Good Afternoon Donna, and Carolyn. our co sponsored communities have reached out to the Seattle media and informed them of this event. We do not at the moment have a commitment from anyone filming the event. We will have our own people in house taking notes of the event and then we will hopefully have a quick turnaround of the transcripts to share with our community.
Thank you for your interest in the event.
Will the meeting be filmed so it can be seen by people who may not be able to attend?
