Invitation to Emerald City Women’s Chorus Holiday Concert – December 4

You’re invited to Emerald City Women’s Chorus Holiday Concert Debut! The concert will take place on Monday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Norse Home, 5311 Phinney Ave N, Seattle. Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted.

The chorus has a wonderful holiday concert planned, full of fun and beautiful music to joyfully start the holiday season. Plus, there will be time afterwards to mingle with friends and enjoy some complimentary treats and beverages.

The new Emerald City Women’s Chorus was formed by past members of the Rain City Women’s Chorus after founder and director, Jo-Ann Christen, retired last spring. The new non-audition chorus is off to a great start with our enthusiastic director, Stacia Cumberland, 40 chorus members, and Tom Hecker as our awesome accompanist. We welcome new members. Winter session starts on January 15 at 7:30 at the Wedgwood Community Church where we practice on Monday nights.

  1. To the new version of the formerly Rain City Women’s Chorus under the direction of Jo-Ann Christen: I am a long time member of Jo-Ann’s chorus, which brought joy to my life from its inception. Am so happy the chorus continues as the Emerald City Women’s Chorus and that Tom continues as its wonderful accompanist. I’m now at the Merrill Gardens retirement home. I so miss making music with the chorus. Am assuming a number of my former co-singers still belong tho I’m not driving anymore. Sorry I’ve missed the recent concerts. Best of luck under your new director. Maybe you can post some of your music here. Sincerely, Kathy Lillie, 1st Soprano
