You’re invited to join us for our April board meeting on Tuesday, April 5th at 7PM via Zoom (meeting details below). We are excited to be joined for this upcoming board meeting by two special guests: Teresa Mosqueda, Seattle City Council Member-Position 8 (citywide) and Vivian Van Geller, Seattle Council PTSA, District 5 Area Rep.

Our agenda is still being developed, but we anticipate it will look something like the following:

  • Welcome and Introductions
  • Public comments
  • Review and approve past meeting minutes
  • Introduce Councilmember Mosqueda
  • Social equity check-in
    • Introduce PTSA District 5 Area Rep, Vivian Van Geller
    • Seattle City PTSA update regarding revenue sharing among PTAs.
    • Urbanist article on exclusionary real estate in Wedgwood and View Ridge

  • Business District coordination and engagement

  1. I do not do zoom or whatever it is.
    Here is what I want to address with the committee. Bus route 79 only runs on weekdays. In the evening hours, the last bus from Roosevelt is at 9:30. Route 79 is not a full-service bus and it should be. There are events that take place on the weekends. Sports, farmers’ markets, concerts, etc. Evening events usually get out after 10:00 P.M. Coming home on the light rail to Roosevelt Station there would be no bus service. My property taxes help pay for transit but we do not get full service. Metro is a service, not a for-profit company.
