On Monday, January 13th, Birds Connect Seattle sent out their official notice that they intend to move out of the long-time Wedgwood location later this month. Birds Connect Seattle’s director, Clair Catania, sent the following message by email:
The time has come to announce the final day of business for our Wedgwood Nature Shop: Saturday, January 25. We are incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished within this space and extend our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, staff, and community members who made it possible.
Rest assured, all of our education, science, and conservation programming will continue to extend our mission to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive across our service area until we reopen in our new location.
Thank you for your continued engagement as a volunteer, member, or through our program activities during this interim period. Keep an eye on your email for news during our interim closure period, our new location announcement and grand opening plans, and the many ways we’ll continue to advocate for birds and their habitats together.
The latest details on our relocation and FAQ will continue to be posted on our website.
Wedgwood will miss this wonderful institution in our community. We wish them luck in their new location.
