Eating, meeting neighbors, enjoying the Wedgwood Community Picnic
Since 2016, the Wedgwood Community Picnic has become a family-friendly event for neighbors to get together and celebrate local music, food, and fun. It’s a beloved event that many of us look forward to all
year. This year, we are planning for the Wedgwood Community Picnic to occur on Saturday, September 13th from 3-7PM!
But, hosting a community picnic is expensive to plan… So, we’re actively fundraising for this year’s Wedgwood Community Picnic and could use your help!
We’re asking for donations to support the financing of this year’s picnic – building on last year’s successful event to make this year’s picnic bigger and better. Your donations are important for the picnic’s viability. If you’re able, please consider supporting this key community event. No donation is too small! Our fundraising goal for this year’s picnic is $5,000.
- Sponsorship. As a sponsor, your contribution helps our volunteer team fund the infrastructure, permits, equipment and other material to put on this great community event. This is a great way to connect! Picnic sponsorship is a great opportunity to increase brand recognition for your business or simply to show your community support! Sponsorship is also a great way to help raise awareness for our local nonprofits, local clubs, environmental groups or services within the city. - Community GoFundMe. For those interested in other ways to contribute aside from sponsorship, you can contribute to our community-led GoFundMe here. This was a critical element to last year’s picnic, so thanks in advance!
- Volunteer. And while our focus is on raising the necessary amount of funds to ensure the picnic’s viability and success, eventually we’ll need community volunteers to help organize the event. We are a community organization for community housing for Seniors. We would like to have a table during the picnic for distributing information and talking to picnic-goers about cohousing options. We will supply all the needed equipment (table, tent, etc.)
