The One Seattle Plan is the city’s name for its latest major comprehensive plan update that was adopted by Council in December 2025. Cities throughout the state are required to update their comprehensive plan regularly under the state’s Growth Management Act. In January 2026, the Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) advanced legislation that would implement citywide zoning changes consistent with the goals and housing objectives described in the One Seattle Plan. This new legislation would create new Neighborhood Centers and Corridors where zoning changes would accomodate more housing units. This zoning legislation follows other zoning changes that the city was required to implement in 2025 following changes from the state legislature. This link takes you to a webmap of the proposed changes, which does reflect a scaling back from previous versions presented throughout 2024-2025. Nevertheless, the proposed zoning changes would result in zoning changes throughout 35th Ave NE, 25th Ave NE/Ravenne Ave NE throughout Wedgwood.
It also creates a Neighborhood Center, a new Urban Village designation, at the intersection of 35th Ave NE and NE 75th Street. Other new NE Seattle Neighborhood Centers are proposed in Ravenna near 25th Ave NE and NE 65th Street and in the lower Bryant neighborhood near 40th Ave NE and NE 55th Street.
We understand that the Select Committee established by City Council to evaluate this Comprehensive Plan zoning legislation has set the following meeting and public hearing dates to discuss the legislation.
- March 19, 2026, 2PM
- April 6, 2026 – Public Hearing starting at 9:30AM
- May 29, 2026 – Public Hearing starting at 9:30AM
- June 4, 2026, 1PM
- June 18, 2026, 1PM
Anyone interested in commenting on the legislation is encouraged to provide public comment at these meetings and public hearings.

I think you meant cities. City’s is the possessive form. Cities is plural
