The Events Committee organizes two primary WCC-sponsored annual events and coordinates WCC support for and participation in other community events. These neighborhood events integrate the community with local businesses to further foster the woodsy, small town feel that epitomizes Wedgwood.
The WCC’s Wedgwood Business Trick-or-Treat: Friday, October 28th
Trick or treaters enter the Wedgwood Barber Shop
Each year on the Friday afternoon on or just before Halloween, the WCC coordinates a trick-or-treat in the Wedgwood Business District with the participation of our 35th Ave NE business community. We print up the flyers, get out the word, and provide crossing guards for the intersections at 75th and 85th. It’s a tradition that goes way back!
The WCC’s Annual Outdoor Cinema
The Outdoor Movie Night in 2011 was on August 6th. Regular attendees of the movie night will recognize this is a couple weeks later than in 2010. This change of date should allow us to take advantage of a slightly earlier dusk and therefore an earlier screening of the film as well as avoid conflicts with Seafair weekend activities.

The Wedgwood Art Festival
The Wedgwood arts community comes together each year to put on the annual Wedgwood Art Festival at the Hunter Tree Farm lot at 35th Ave NE & NE 80th Street. The Wedgwood Art Festival is not formally affiliated with the Wedgwood Community Council, but it is a fantastic event for our community and we support the artists who work so hard to put it together.
