The one-man performance called “Stormwater, Life in the Gutter” is intended to be an educational exploration of the City’s sewer and stormwater systems. The performance is written and performed by Stokley Towles and was produced/commissioned by 4Culture and the City’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs. The City has a long-term plan to control sewer and stormwater overflow which they are still seeking input on. KPLU has a nice story on the 1-hour performance which you can read/listen HERE. “Stormwater, Life in the Gutter” will be presented at the NE Branch Library next Wednesday, October 26th, at 6:30PM.
Tax season is rapidly approaching and our friends at the NE Branch Library are 1 of 11 branches offering free, drop in tax assistance each Thursday through April from 2pm to 7pm. This free service is being provided by the library in conjunction with the AARP and United Way of King County.
