Residential Issues: How important are the following in Wedgwood's single-family residential zones?
#Response DateOther (please specify)
Mar 2, 2010 4:38 PMI do not agree that more lighting is good - I like to see the night sky!
Mar 2, 2010 6:02 PMSplitting lots for huge houses needs to be stopped. Promote the "existing character of Wedgwood."
Mar 2, 2010 6:45 PMOn affordable housing, creation of more affordable housing is very important but more likely to occur in the multifamily zones, except through ADUs and cottages. On vacant properties, I can't think of any vacant SF properties. They are all commercial or MF.
Mar 3, 2010 3:52 PMLow income housing mixed in with the neighborhood in tastful building
Mar 3, 2010 4:12 PMMaintaining current roads, drains and sidewalks
Mar 3, 2010 4:23 PMWhat is "In-fill development"??
Mar 3, 2010 6:56 PMI don't know what "infill development" is
Mar 3, 2010 10:40 PMCoyotes should be removed from the ravine.
Mar 4, 2010 1:51 AMcurrent-existing vacancies are attraction criminal elements
Mar 4, 2010 2:24 AMI do not want sidewalks where I live if we have to pay for them. No 3 storey skinny homes.
Mar 4, 2010 2:25 AMjust say NO to sidewalks except along arterials, we bought because it has a more rural feel
Mar 4, 2010 2:42 AMregulating number of vechicles per home, no long term street parking
Mar 4, 2010 5:17 PMregulating size of new homes extremely important
Mar 4, 2010 5:39 PMsidewalks please- i would like to help make this happen!
Mar 4, 2010 6:44 PMVERY IMPORTANT to have sidwalks on the mainstreets that are 6-8 feet wide good for pedestrian movement. With no roof drainage on the sidewalk like Rite Aid. I can' t believe that the city allowed this in the construction.
Mar 4, 2010 8:12 PMWhat is "in-fill development"? Confusing.
Mar 4, 2010 8:17 PMvideo surveilance and crime control
Mar 5, 2010 12:37 AMCrosswalks, crosswalks, crosswalks
Mar 5, 2010 4:05 AMAccountability of rental property owners
Mar 5, 2010 8:19 AMas the neighbourhood matures, density uptick is natural (ie going from 7500 sq ft lot to a 5000 sq ft lot), and residential population density can rationalize and concentrate the services associated with what a village needs - so the envirnoment wins. isolating sprawl is not a good thing, in my opinion. densify 35th, and then step down the density from the point in to the non-arterials
Mar 5, 2010 7:34 PMAbsolutely make builders and developers put in a sidewalk on the developed property (specifically north of 85th) and also provide enough parking for new residents.
Mar 5, 2010 10:26 PMsafe bike ways;
Mar 6, 2010 3:49 AMDefine in-fill development for those who are not familiar with the term!
Mar 6, 2010 3:53 AMBut allow for more mother in law apartments in basements and above garages as a way of creating affordable housing.
Mar 6, 2010 4:52 AMRegulating Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs)
Mar 6, 2010 10:00 PMin-fill?
Mar 7, 2010 11:08 PMMaintain streets & sidewalks, cracks & breaks make it hard to walk and drive on. 85th between 35th & 31st make a nightmare for drivers as well as unsafe for pedestrians. Round a bouts and speed bumps are useless. Cars just speed even faster between them.
Mar 8, 2010 3:47 AMNo more SHA housing, please! It brought graffitti into Wedgwood.
Mar 8, 2010 4:34 AMmanaging noise from flight paths
Mar 8, 2010 5:28 AMupkeep of damaged sidewalks
Mar 9, 2010 3:24 PMLess night lighting overall, but use more motion detected lighting. Too much light obscures our wonderful night sky.
Mar 10, 2010 7:48 PMBetter management of rental properties
Mar 11, 2010 2:22 AMThe size of new homes per se is not so important - BUT compatiblilty to existing and height, bulk, scale issues are very important. Also important would be transitions from commercial to residential
Mar 12, 2010 8:28 PMStreet Parking Capacity
Mar 12, 2010 9:09 PMI am not sure of what in-fill development means.
Mar 12, 2010 9:45 PMPreserve existing housing stock
Mar 13, 2010 5:58 AM**regulating size of new homes****
Mar 13, 2010 8:04 PMI like it dark at night!
Mar 15, 2010 7:59 PMReduce illegal on-street parking; keep vegetation from overgrowing the sidewalks and maintain legally required 8' height clearance.
Mar 17, 2010 4:39 AMSidewalks are despirately needed near the elementary school before threre is a terrible accident. This must be a priority.
Mar 17, 2010 5:43 PMI don't know what "in-fill development" is.
Mar 17, 2010 11:23 PMregulation of building/lot ratio
Mar 21, 2010 4:15 AMno cookie cutter development
Mar 24, 2010 6:13 AMReword in-fill development. It is not clear to non-architects.I had to ask what it was.
Mar 24, 2010 2:27 PMan empty house opposite my home is a cause for concern to me.
Mar 24, 2010 4:10 PMbetter design of traffic obstructions
Mar 27, 2010 3:46 PMMore combined housing/rooms for rent/combined households
Mar 28, 2010 9:34 AMDo not want more lights, LOVE the fact that my yard is pitch black at night
Mar 29, 2010 2:23 AMwhat is infill development?
Mar 30, 2010 2:35 AMsemi-permeable pavement where pavement needed
Mar 30, 2010 6:26 PMI put very important on "Better management..." if these are small "abandon" parcels for urban farming.
Apr 4, 2010 11:16 PMDon't spend any money. None at all. You've never met a generous liberal, except with money that's not his.
Apr 5, 2010 3:25 AMI'm indifferent about curbs and sidewalks. While they are a nice amenity, the replace permeable land, and that's not so nice.
Apr 5, 2010 4:57 PMThsi is a urban area and should be excepted as that we need some developement to survive and grow as a little town bringing in nice housing and retail space will help to support the fininacial needs of getting sidewalks and revenue for improvements
Apr 7, 2010 2:17 AMpervious materials for sidewalks
Apr 7, 2010 4:36 PMMonitor/enforce abandoned or non-moved vehicles
Apr 7, 2010 8:02 PMlet's get some variety in design - all the infill and replacement houses are these ugly modern things
Apr 13, 2010 4:21 PMSidewalks and lighting PLEASE!!!!!!
May 6, 2010 4:48 AMkeep sidewalks clear
