Neighborhood Watch Signs

How to get a neighborhood watch sign for your block:

In almost all cases, the signs that you see on the Seattle blocks have been purchased and installed by the residents on the block themselves.

One vender that can produce the signs:

You may want to check the yellow pages for other vendors.

Notes on installation process from the city...

  1. It is illegal to post Neighborhood Watch signs on utility poles
  2. If signs are posted on private property, no permit to post the signs is necessary
  3. If your block or community organization wants to post signs in parking strips, you will need to secure a "street use permit" from the Street Use department. This is to ensure that the signs do not obstruct vision at intersections or pose other dangers.
Permit process:

It is advisable to make sure that property owners adjacent to the parking strips where the signs are to be posted, do not object to them.
