Rose Chavez "Everybody Plays" Memorial Playground Work Party

Work has been occurring at the Thornton Creek School Playground on the Rose Chavez “Everybody Plays” Memorial Playground for several months, but more volunteer help is needed!  This Saturday, there will be another work party and the Thornton Creek Elementary Playground Committee would love to have you come on out.  The following is a message from the committee:

Please join our Thornton Creek Playground Committee for a work party to move forward on the Rose Chavez “Everybody Plays” Memorial Playground Improvement project at Thornton Creek Elementary School.

When:  Saturday June 11th, beginning at 9AM.
Where:  Thornton Creek Playground Area

Can you lend a hand? We would greatly appreciate your help!  We need at least six volunteers to achieve our Saturday goals.

Please email » Amy Feldman-Bawarshi if you can attend.

Goals for the work party (per Carl Lind):
1. complete the  forming of the raised walls and columns.  We could use two experienced carpenters for this who bring some of their own tools.   If you are an experienced carpenter, and if you can come, please
email » Carl Lind to let him know.

2.  Set forms for inner concrete slab.  Involves shovel work to clean up form location, setting forms in curve.  Six people total–two on
shovels, four on forming.

We recommend that all volunteers arrive by 9 am and no later than 11am in the event that we finish plans earlier than expected.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of the Rose Chavez “Everybody Plays” Memorial Playground Improvement Project happening at Thornton Creek elementary school.

Sincerely,
Thornton Creek Elementary Playground Committee
