Hunter Farm Site Design to be Unveiled Wednesday Night!

HUNTER FARMS GATHERING PLACE DESIGN UNVEILING – COMMUNITY MEETING
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13TH, 7 – 9 PM, WEDGWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

On June 11th, the NE Seattle community came up with 68 unique ideas for what can be done as part of the Hunter Farm Gathering Place project.  About 30 people teamed up to take these ideas and craft them into 4 conceptual site designs. Since then, the Pomegranate Center has been taking these ideas and designs to create flexible site design that embraces the community’s shared values while maintaining the existing uses of the site, most importantly being the Hunter Farm tree sales between November and December.

On Wednesday, July 13th, the Pomegranate Center will unveil the site design and we will begin planning as a community on how to implement project.  We will have just over 1 month, beginning Wednesday, when the community will come together and build this great project.  It’ll be all hands on deck for a NE Seattle barn-raising of sorts (Spoiler Alert: no barn is proposed as part of the design).  So please tell your friends, family, and neighbors about the project and Wednesday’s meeting.  Bring your creativity and community-building hats so we can figure out how to stretch our funds and resources to make this project a reflection of our giving and cooperative community.

See you Wednesday!
