More Than Books: NE Seattle Library Has Emergency Prep, Too!

The NE branch of the Seattle Public Library is already one of our favorite places in the area, with their amazing staff and resources galore. But did you know about the rotating displays that grace the library each month to further your knowledge?

Now through early January, you can catch an emergency preparedness display put together by librarian Erica Delavan with help from librarians Janie and Daniel. It is chock-full of FEMA and U.S. Fire Administration materials donated by neighborhood emergency prep guru Theresa Edwards (pictured). There are free materials suitable for all ages, but act fast…. The librarians can never keep enough of the cute model firetrucks in stock. Ding, ding, ding!

This display is a perfect complement to the recent focus on emergency prep in Wedgwood. If you missed the drill in October, learn more about how it went and what you can do to help plan for the next one.
