On Thursday evening, August 23 at 7 PM there will be a Summer Community Concert presented by the Rainbow City Orchestra. Earlier this summer the Marching Band division of Rainbow City did a musical march along 30th Ave NE, but this time, the orchestral division will perform in-place at Wedgwood Community Church, 8201 30th Ave NE. This free, family-friendly event will be led by conductor Jerilynn Harris-Kilgore. The program will include compositions by Mascagni, Dvorak and Debussy, and the orchestra’s own concertmaster, Caleb Tizon, will be featured as a soloist in Vivaldi’s “Spring” from the Four Seasons. Music begins at 7 PM with a reception immediately following the program.
