The Washington Park Arboretum will have a free guided walk on Sunday, September 16, 1 to 2:30 PM on the topic of Fruit and Nuts. Autumn is the time when we can view the year’s results of spring pollenation. You are invited to come on a walk with a guide and explore the variety of fruits, nuts, and seed pods displayed in the garden right now, including the three-part pods of the Golden Rain Tree pictured at left.
The Washington Park Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center is at 2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, 98112. The Arboretum, as well as the Center for Urban Horticulture and the Miller Library in Laurelhurst, are now under the “umbrella” name of the University of Washington Botanic Gardens with all info links on the one webpage.
