Wedgwood Garden Club Meeting – Tuesday, October 16th at 7PM

The following is a guest post from the Wedgwood Garden Club.

Wedgwood Garden Club members and guests toured three local gardens this summer, enjoying the landscapes of neighbors and picking up tips for their own yards. The group begins its monthly winter informative talks next Tuesday, Oct. 16th at 7 p.m. at Homestreet Bank on 35th Ave. and will hear a presentation on Winterizing the Garden, “aka” (also known as) “Putting the Garden to Bed.”  Speaking will be Susie Egan, a Master Gardener and owner of Cottage Lake Gardens.

Also on Tuesday, annual dues of $15 will be due.  (Guests may attend for $5 per session.)  Discussion of new by-laws will be followed by a vote to approve, as the group prepares to apply for 501(c)3 non-profit status this winter.  Current officers are:  co-chairs – Laurie MacBride and Alison Wysong; treasurer – Mary Fry; and correspondent – Lisa Secan.

The Wedgwood Garden Club is a fun, relaxed and informative organization.  We volunteer in the community and exchange ideas and plants.  All are welcome!
