What can we do during the holidays to have fun and enjoy low-stress celebrations without the purchase of MORE stuff? This is particularly challenging when there are kids in the family. The next Sustainable NE Seattle gathering will feature this topic. Everyone is invited to attend and share ideas on holiday strategies. SustNE will meet on Thursday evening, November 15, 6:30 to 9 PM, upstairs (Fireside Room) at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church, 8008 35th Ave NE. The meeting will have childcare.
Items to bring to the SustNE meeting on November 15: an item for a “bring one, take one” stuff exchange: something you are no longer using, which someone else could use. Some ideas of things to bring are outgrown but still-good clothing, board games, unused kitchen gadgets, etc. If you would like to contribute to the salad which will be served, bring something and it will all be put together in a “stone soup salad” which means, made up of everything people want to put into it.
