Flying to Portland

A peregrine falcon which was born in Seattle in May on the I-5 bridge over the Ship Canal, turned up at the Portland International Airport in October.  The bird was identified by its leg band with the number 73-U.  The Portland airport has a Birdstrike Avoidance Team and they caught the falcon and removed it to a safer site.  Community news blog The Montlaker has more photos on the story.
