Good news for North Seattle entrepreneurs and small business owners!

Announced today by our friends at North Seattle Community College (NSCC), the school’s Entrepreneur Success Center (ESC) has received a $10,000 grant to expand services to small businesses in North Seattle!

According to the post on “Inside North,” more than 45 businesses from the north end used the ESC in the first year alone. Small businesses that are at the pre-launch, launch or high growth stages, as well as those that are stalled, can get free counseling from a business consultant as well as access to computers, specialized software and low- or no- cost seminars, led by local entrepreneurs.

This award, funded by the National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship and Sam’s Club, supports the expansion of the ESC and will enable them to “scale up” services provided. And even cooler? NSCC’s is one of only four programs in the nation to be funded.

The Wedgwood Community Council stays connected with NSCC on a quarterly basis through community breakfasts with the president, so if you have any ideas or questions you’d like to have addressed, let us know!
