It’s Spring, and to support you in your gardening enthusiam, the Seattle Audubon Nature Shop at 8050 35th Ave NE will have its Annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, April 6th, 10 to 2. At the same time, there will be a Rummage Sale with proceeds toward the BirdWatch Spring Break trip to Texas. The Rummage Sale helps to reduce costs for the students, the culmination of their studies of birds and the natural world. You may bring donations for the Rummage Sale to the Nature Shop from Monday through Thursday: clothing, books, and small kitchen appliances in working condition are needed items for the sale.
Seattle Audubon’s Birdwatch Student Naturalist program is for high school students with an interest in birds. Students can participate in a fun series of field trips, meetings, outreach activities, and scientific monitoring efforts. Birdwatch is a great way for teenagers to explore Northwest ecology, gain naturalist skills, and make a positive contribution to the natural world.
