Summer is coming, with fun events planned for Wedgwood. The Wedgwood Art Festival has artists, musicians, food and children’s activities lined up for the two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14. This will be the Eighth Annual Celebration of Awesome Art in Your Neighborhood, and will again be held at the Gathering Place at Hunter Tree Farm, 7744 35th Ave NE. Check the Wedgwood Art Festival schedule for your favorite musicians, and the times of puppet shows and face-painting for children. There are still opportunities to sponsor and to volunteer at the Festival, too.
The Outdoor Cinema sponsored by the Wedgwood Community Council will be on Saturday, August 3rd, at the Gathering Place at Hunter Tree Farm, 7744 35th Ave NE in the heart of Wedgwood. Kid/family activities will begin at 7:30 PM and the movie will start at dusk (whenever it gets dark enough!) The movie will be Madagascar 3, a computer-animated comedy.
Tuesday, August 6, 2013 will be Seattle’s city-wide Night Out Against Crime. Night Out is a great opportunity to have a block party, get to know your neighbors and work together for safety and support.
