On Saturday, August 31, at 9 AM join Seattle Audubon, rain or shine, for a bird walk at Magnuson Park (see directions and info at the link.) No sign-up is required, and you don’t have to be an Audubon member. Beginning birders or new Seattleites will especially enjoy this initial exposure to the rich variety of regional bird life. You can phone the Seattle Audubon Nature Shop, 523-4483, in advance to borrow a pair of binoculars. The leader of this Saturday’s walk is Emily Bishton, landscape designer and environmental educator, who will teach a Savvy Gardener class at Magnuson on September 21.
