Tools for the Season

Since its Grand Opening in January 2013 the NE Seattle Tool Library has been providing free, community access to a wide variety of tools, training and sustainable resources.   Benefits of membership in the Library are many: you can reduce consumption of tools used only once or twice, foster a sense of community and mutual support, and enhance your self-reliance and tool know-how.

In the autumn season there are jobs around the house for which you might want to borrow a tool.  Yet another funny-looking tool has been added to the Library which you can use instead of buy:  a cider press.  If you would like to meet the cider press in person, get an eyeful of a shop vac or any other items available for borrowing, you can sign up for membership in the NE Seattle Tool Library.  The Tool Library is located at 2415 NE 80th Street, just west of the traffic light on 25th Ave NE at NE 80th Street.  Hours of operation are Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM, Saturday morning 9 to noon, and Sunday afternoon 2 to 5 PM.
