The North End Arts Tour (NEAT) is a holiday-season showcase of fine craft and art for your shopping pleasure. Enjoy this free tour of artists’ studios featuring seven sites in north Seattle. Talk with the artists about their work and make your holiday gift selections with the satisfaction of shopping locally and supporting artists in our community.
Look for the NEAT banner at the seven sites on Friday, December 6 from 4 to 9 PM, and Saturday & Sunday from 10 to 5. Visit the sites in any order. Pick up your NEAT passport at your first site and get it stamped at all seven sites by Sunday night for a chance to win dinner for two at the Kisaku Sushi Restaurant near Greenlake.
The work of the NEAT artists is to take “ordinary” materials such as wood, metal, clay, paper, glass, and stone and make them into extraordinary fine art. The wide range of media includes pottery, earrings, glass, textile and metal art, cards, paintings, baskets, scarves and hats. Go to the NEAT website for further information and links to individual artists’ websites.
