It has been six years since the first organizing meeting at Grateful Bread and now the Sustainable NE Seattle group is going strong. The Sustainability movement is multi-neighborhood, working together on multiple action projects such as growing local food, local currency investing, habitat preservation, energy efficiency, community resilience and emergency preparedness.
Check the calendar to see all the Sustainability events coming up. On Tuesday, March 4 at the NE Seattle Tool Library it will be Fixer’s Night from 6 to 9 PM. If you have something which needs fixing, or you just like to watch people use tools, you are welcome to come and join in the fun. Save the date for Sunday, March 23: Open Forum. Everyone is invited to come and talk about the next phase of Sustainability and what are the top needs to be addressed.
