Grantseeking Basics

The Central Library is at 4th & Spring in downtown Seattle. It is accessible by bus routes and it has a parking garage.

The Seattle Public Library, downtown at 4th & Spring, has a Foundation Directory database which is only accessible through the computer terminals at that library, not at the neighborhood branch libraries.  On Tuesday, August 26, from 2 to 3:30 PM on Level 4, Room 1, the downtown library will have a free program for grant writers to see the features and uses of the Foundation Directory on-line.

Ganga Dharmappa, Foundation Center regional representative, will demonstrate and discuss best uses and features of the Foundation Directory Online. This database provides grantmaker information for nonprofits seeking funding; it is part of the Foundation Resource Center in the Business Science Technology Department of the Central (downtown) Library. The database is useful for anyone affiliated with nonprofits, anyone starting a nonprofit and anyone exploring the nonprofit funding sector.
