Northwest Student Exchange (NWSE) is looking for a host family for an awesome 15 year old male high school student here in the U.S. for the school year. He is with a temporary host family until a placement is found for the rest of the school year. NWSE provides foreign exchange students with opportunities to live and learn in the U.S. Hosting a foreign exchange student is a great way to help U.S. foreign relations and promote cultural exchanges between host families and exchange students.
NWSE places students from around the world with families in the U.S. Students arrive in August from primarily Germany, Denmark, Norway, Brazil, Ecuador, Japan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Russia, etc.
Our students are between 15 to 18 years of age. They are very eager to learn about life while living with a family in the United States and attending high school here. Host families provide room and board and a safe, caring home for their exchange students. Hosting an exchange student is an excellent opportunity to welcome a new family member, to share our culture and values, and to enhance a host family’s understanding of the culture and values of another country.
Host families are not compensated for hosting but gain huge rewards in the support they provide to young people who seek to experience learning and living in the United States. The State Department supports Foreign Exchange programs as a way to improve relationships between the U.S. and other countries.
